New Delhi is the capital of India and is also colloquially referred as the country’s political hub. The national capital is bordered by Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. Many flock to the city throughout the year to earn a living and for taking admission in the renowned universities situated here.
Climate and Geography
The city experiences humid subtropical climate. The summers start in April and last till July and which are followed by monsoon in the month of August. Winters make the city misty and soggy in the months December and January.
Tranportation
Indira Gandhi International Airport is located in southwest of Delhi. The national capital is also the headquarters of Northern Railway. The five prime railway stations in the capital are New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi, Nizamuddin Railway Station, Anand Vihar Railway Terminal and Sarai Rohilla.
New Delhi is also well-connected by metro and one can move around the city conveniently without any need to board the crowded buses. Auto rickshaws and radio taxis can also be seen running on the roads the whole day and in the night. For short distances people prefer to board pilot autos and paddle rickshaws too. Buses are also a good option to reach various regions located outside the capital.
