Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Nairobi

  Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) you will be met by Signature Safaris’ representative and drive you to your accommodation in Nairobi for overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

  At 7:00 am, depart from Nairobi for a scenic drive northward, covering approximately 310 km. Along the way, you'll traverse through picturesque tea, coffee, and sisal plantations, with a stopover to admire the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.
  Continuing your journey, you'll cross the equator into the semi-arid county of Samburu. Enjoy your first game drive en route to Ashnil Samburu Camp, where you'll check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, set out for another exhilarating game drive. Later, return to the camp after witnessing the African sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

  After breakfast, immerse yourself in a full day of unparalleled wildlife viewing. Keep an eye out for the Special Five of Samburu: the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk—rare species exclusive to this region. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to spot iconic larger game such as elephants, lions, and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature before returning to the camp to unwind for the afternoon and evening. Your game drives will take you along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where much of the wildlife congregates.
  Retire for the night and savor dinner at the Ashnil Samburu Camp, where you'll also spend the night.

  You will enjoy a delicious early-morning breakfast, then check out from Samburu Sopa Lodge. You will embark on a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. On arrival, you will check in at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, have a late lunch, and relax from the long drive.
  Afterward, you will proceed for an exciting afternoon game drive. The bird life here is world-renowned, with over 400 bird species recorded including white pelicans, plovers, egrets, and marabou stork. It is also one of the few places in Africa to see white and black rhinos and rare Rothschild giraffes.
  You will return to base in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

  After an early breakfast, you will check out and enjoy en route game drives of Lake Nakuru National Park before leaving for the Masai Mara. The drive from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara is around a 4-5 hour drive. You'll be arriving at Zebra Plains Mara Camp in time for lunch and check-in. After lunch and relaxation, you will head out for an afternoon game drive until the African sunset.
  Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

  The expansive Masai Mara is teeming with wildlife, offering ample opportunities for photography. Stay hydrated throughout the day, as temperatures can soar. You are likely to encounter Africa's Big Five and may even witness a big cat on the hunt.
  In the evening, return to Zebra Plains for an arranged bush nature walk. You'll embark on a relaxed, guided walk led by an experienced guide through a wildlife conservation area. This close-up exploration allows you to observe the region's animals and plants, learning about their habits and behaviors.
