Haridwar is situated at height of 314 metres from the sea level between Shivalik Hills in the North and Northeast and the Ganges River in the South. Haridwar experiences a temperate climate throughout the year. The winters here are chilly with 6°C as the minimum night temperature. Summers are a little hot with temperature ranging between 18°C to 40°C. In the Monsoon season Haridwar receives moderate rainfall. The best time to visit this place is October to March.
