Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Chennai Arrival & Sightseeing

Greet and meet on arrival at Chennai airport. Proceed to the hotel, check in, and refresh. Later, visit Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Vivekananda Illam, the Government museum, and Fort museum. Drive past Marina Beach and San Thome Church. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram Heritage Tour

After breakfast, check out and drive to Mahabalipuram (60 Kms - 1 Hrs drive). Enjoy full day sightseeing, including: Five Rathas, Mahishasuramardini Mandapa, Mahabalipuram lighthouse, Penance, Krishna Mandapam, and Shore temple. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 : : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (French Colony & Auroville)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Pondicherry (90 Kms - 2 Hrs drive). Check in and later proceed to full day sightseeing, visiting: Matrimandir, Auroville, Arikamedu, Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Promenade Beach, and Shri Aurobindo ashram. Drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Pondicherry - Chola Temples & Tanjore

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Tanjore (195 kms - 4 hrs drive). En route, visit Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, Gangaikonda Cholapuram Temple, and Darasuram Airavateswara temple (UNESCO World Heritage monument). Arrive at Tanjore, check in, and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai

After breakfast, check out and enjoy morning sightseeing of Tanjore. Visit the great Brihadisvara Temple (more than 1000 years old) and The Thanjavur Maratha Palace Complex. Drive to Trichy, visit the ancient Rock Fort Temple dedicated to Lord Ganapathi and Lord Shiva, and Srirangam, a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Drive to Madurai, check in, and overnight at the hotel.
