Adoor is a small settlement in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. Previously, it was located in the Kollam district but became a part of Pathanamthitta after the boundaries were redesigned. It is the hub of art and culture and houses many historical structures as well.

The rivers Achenkovli and Kallada pass through Adoor and are the major source of water for the dwellers of Adoor. The climate of Adoor is classifies as tropical. Due to its geographical location, thunderstorms are common during the monsoon and the winds blow at a high speed of 120 KMPH. It receives a high amount of rain shower with an average of 1413 mm annually.
