The Lingmala Falls in Mahabaleshwar. It lies on the Mahabaleshwar-Pune road. July to December is the best time to see the waterfall.The stream here precipitates over the face of steep cliff, unbroken when the torrent is swollen by rain but ordinarily divided by projecting rocks about one third of the way down into thin silver streaks and sprays often circled by rainbows. We can see Dhobi Waterfall, and Chinaman's waterfall in Mahabaleshwar.
Pratapgad Fort is a mountain fort built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort is at a distance of 24 km from the hill station of Mahabaleshwar. The fort holds a sturdy view of coastal Konkan. The Bhavani Temple and Afzal Khan's tomb are other places of interest. The Krishna River rises from a place with an elevation of 1337m north of Mahabaleshwar. The Ghataprabha, the Malaprabha, the Bhima, the Tungabhadra and the Musik are the principal tributaries joining Krishna. Krishna Basin extends over in three states with an area of 258,948 & 2 Kms, which is nearly 8% of the total geographical area of the country.
