Mandawa is famous for many festivals but there are two most important and significant festivals that the region is applauded for. The festivals are the Camel Festival and the Gangaur Festival. Whule the former festival is organised in January, begins with a parade of camels from the Junagadh Fort, the latter is held in July or August. Gangaur Festival is celebrated for over 18 days and is dedicated to the Goddess, Parvati. It is the time when all the ladies of the town dress up in their traditional attires and walk in processions, carrying images of the Goddess. Holi, the Nagaur Fair, Urs Fair and the Baneshwar fair are some of the other popular fairs and festivals.
