Mandawa is famous for many festivals but there are two most important and significant festivals that the region is applauded for. The festivals are the Camel Festival and the Gangaur Festival. Whule the former festival is organised in January, begins with a parade of camels from the Junagadh Fort, the latter is held in July or August. Gangaur Festival is celebrated for over 18 days and is dedicated to the Goddess, Parvati. It is the time when all the ladies of the town dress up in their traditional attires and walk in processions, carrying images of the Goddess. Holi, the Nagaur Fair, Urs Fair and the Baneshwar fair are some of the other popular fairs and festivals.

In winters, the temperature falls from single digit to even zero. On the other hand, in summers, the town experiences scorching heat as the temperature increases as to 50 degree Celsius and plus. Starting from October, the weather becomes pleasant and so it is considered the most tourist friendly time to visit Mandawa.

For those who are travelling by air, the nearest airport from Mandawa is Jaipur that is just 168 km away. For those travelling through rail, Jhunjhunu is one of the nearest railheads to Mandawa. For those who want to drive all the way to Mandawa, then one can reach there from Jaipur Bikaner and Udaipur. A convenient network of roads connects Mandawa with the rest of the states of Rajasthan and rest of the country.
