Peechi Dam

Standing at a height of 26 feet across the river Manali, Peechi Dam is a popular tourist attraction 23 km. away from the city of Thrissur in Kerala. Peechi Dam is an earthen-dam and spans a gross area of 3200 acres. The main motive for the construction of this dam was to generate hydroelectricity and supply the water for irrigation & domestic purposes to villagers. At present, it is a famous attraction and is visited by tourists on a large scale.
