Geography : The land of Benin is almost without any variation throughout it length and breadth. Benin extends from the Niger River as a land which is covered with lakes, mangroves, mountains and forests. The banks of the rivers are lined by the forests. The land is of low elevation and mostly coastal which supports agriculture.
Climate : Benin has a hot and humid climate which sees an average rainfall of 1300 mm in the coastal area. The rainy season occurs between April and late July whereas the dry season is from late July to September. The wind coming in from the coasts make the weather humid during the rains.
