This is a classic short private safari to the world-famous wild parks of Tanzania, including the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Afterward, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar Island. We have included one of our favorite small beach resorts, but we can upgrade or downgrade the hotel upon request (see alternative accommodations on the last day). Today your safari starts! Drive to Tarangire and enjoy your first game drive. The park is famous for its big herds of elephants and big baobab trees.

We will spend three nights (two full days) in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word. Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The game drives in this park are exceptional and game viewing incredible. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions and when lucky the annual Great Migration!

Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning we will drive to the crater. Ngorongoro is a unique crater known as a Caldera. A Caldera is the aftereffect of a volcanic collapse, an implosion rather than explosion, Ngorongoro was formed some two million years ago. The Crater itself measures an average of 18 Kilometers in diameter and approximately 700 meter vertical drop and is home to 25000 large animals. The crater is one of the prime areas to observe the endangered Black rhino and black manned Lions.
