If your main goal is to experience a classic Kenyan safari, you can take a 2-day trip to a national park. The most popular and iconic choice is the Maasai Mara National Reserve, while Amboseli National Park is another excellent option.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi to Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

  Morning: Early pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport. You will have a scenic drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos. The drive can take several hours (around 5-6 hours by road).
  
  Afternoon: Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. After a short rest, head out for your first game drive in the reserve. The Maasai Mara is famous for its high concentration of wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino).
  
  Evening: Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

• Day 2 : Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

  Morning: Wake up for an early morning game drive. This is often the most rewarding time for wildlife viewing. You may also have the option to take a spectacular hot air balloon ride over the Mara (at an extra cost).
  
  Late Morning: After the game drive, return to your camp for a final breakfast.
  
  Afternoon: Begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the mid-afternoon for your flight or onward travel. Some tours also include an optional visit to a Maasai village for a cultural experience on the way back.
