After darshan precede CHAMUNDA DEVI, also known as Chamundi and Charchika, is a fearsome aspect of Devi, the Divine Mother and one of the seven Matrikas (mother goddesses). The name is a combination of Chanda and Munda, two monsters whom Chamunda killed. Here Lord Shiva is present in the form of death, destruction & dead bodies along with Devi Chamunda.
