River Ganges:
The river Ganga is the most sacred river among the Hindus.
It’s history goes long back , according to the Hindu mythology King Bhagiratha (The late successor of King Sagara who lost the lives of his 60 thousand sons due to the curse from Saint Kapila as they disrupted his meditation) went into penace for a thousand years to please Lord Brahma , getting pleased by his yagna Lord Brahma appeared and he asked Lord Brahma to bring back Ganga on earth so that his 60 thousand granduncle’s souls could set free as Ganga is the stairway for the ascension to heaven.Lord Brahma advised King Bhagiratha to please Lord Shiva as no one other than him can save the earth from the destruction the river Ganga can cause when released to the earth. King Bhagiratha pleased Lord Shiva, the river Ganga was brought down from heaven and Lord Shiva controlled the flow of the river with his jatas, that is why all the tributaries of the river Ganga are refrred to as the jatas of the great Lord Shiva.
Hence Ganga is a streamway to several spiritual beliefs and the most worshipped river among the Hindus.

MUSSORIE:
Mussoorie is known as the “Queen of Hills” in the view of the fact that it bestows picturesque landscapes of the Shvalik range and the Doon Valley and also provides a a spell-bounding view of Bandarpooch, Badrinath, Kedarnath and many other Himalayan Peaks.The small town was founded in 1803 by Lt. Fredrick Young who visited these hills for a shooting game and fell in love with it’s beauty and decided to build a Shooting lodge along with FJ Shore ,the JT. Magistrate of Doon in 1823.
The name Mussoorie is derived from the name of a shrub “”Mansoor”(spotted mostly in clusters) found abundantly in the foothills of the Himalayas bearing a yellow colored flower which blooms during February & March and a fruit(inedible) which either red or dark purple hue.
It is located at an average elevation of 1500 m and is situated in the foothills of the Garhwal Himlayas at a distance of 35 km from Dehradun. Mussoorie is home to various tourist destinations which has been a major attraction for people since decades as a result making Mussoorie one of the most visited hill stations in the country.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive At Rishikesh Camp.(12 Noon)

Pick-up from your city will be provided or you can reach Rishikesh camp by 12 noon. You will have your lunch, evening tea, snacks along the bonfire followed by dinner at the camp. You can choose any jungle/riverside/luxury campsite for your stay. The day will end here.
2 P.M.- Lunch
Indian Menu(Can be self customized too/Only for groups): Dal, Rice,Chapati, Salad, 1 vegetable, Curd, Pickle.
4 P.M.- Visit Patna Waterfall/Vashistha Gufa/Ganga Aarti.(Pick 1)
6 P.M.- Snacks at camp (Rishiskesh Special Pakode)
8:30 P.M.- Dinner(Veg/Non-veg Buffet)

Activities : Hill Stations & Valleys , Religious & Pilgrimage , Water Rafting

Day 2

Rishikesh Sight Seeing

9 A.M.- Breakfast (Indian Breakfast)
10 A.M.- Rafting – 12/18/24 Kilometers.(At additional cost)
2 P.M.- Lunch- Indian Menu(Can be self customized too/Only for groups): Dal, Rice,Chappati, Salad, 1 Sabzi, Curd, Pickle.
4 P.M.- Rishikesh Darshan/Self Jungle Hike.
