Challenge yourself to conquer Africas highest peak on this unforgettable 6 day Mount Kilimanjaro Summit Trek via the Marangu Route, famously known as the Coca Cola Route. Designed for climbers seeking a comfortable and well established trail, this route features mountain hut accommodation and an additional acclimatization day to maximize your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Led by experienced mountain guides and supported by professional porters and cooks, this adventure promises breathtaking scenery, diverse ecosystems, and the achievement of standing on the Roof of Africa.
After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and driven to Marangu Gate for registration and a pre climb briefing. Begin your trek through lush rainforest filled with towering trees, colorful birds, and playful colobus monkeys. After approximately 4 to 5 hours of hiking, arrive at Mandara Hut (2,720 m) for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast continue your ascent through the heath and moorland zone while enjoying spectacular views of Mawenzi Peak and Kilimanjaros unique vegetation. Trek for approximately 5 to 6 hours before arriving at Horombo Hut (3,720 m) where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Today is dedicated to acclimatization, an essential part of increasing your summit success. Take a guided hike toward Zebra Rocks before returning to Horombo Hut for rest. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and preparing for higher altitude. Dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut.
Following breakfast trek across the alpine desert known as The Saddle located between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. The scenery becomes dramatic and barren as you approach Kibo Hut (4,700 m). After an early dinner rest and prepare for the midnight summit attempt.
Your summit adventure begins shortly after midnight. Trek under a sky full of stars toward Gilmans Point before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement, capture unforgettable photographs, and witness an incredible sunrise before descending back to Kibo Hut for a short rest. Continue down to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast complete your final descent through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. Receive your official Kilimanjaro Summit Certificate before meeting your driver for the return journey to Moshi where you will be transferred to your hotel marking the successful completion of your Mount Kilimanjaro adventure.
