This safari focuses on the Ndutu region located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem during the Great Migration calving season. Between December and March thousands of wildebeest calves are born each day, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas. Ndutu is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where off-road driving is permitted, allowing excellent wildlife viewing and photography opportunities. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival In Arusha

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport followed by transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Your guide will brief you about the safari.

Day 2 Arusha To Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and scenic landscapes dotted with baobab trees. Picnic lunch inside the park. In the afternoon drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Karatu To Ndutu Area

After breakfast depart for the Ndutu region located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. The drive passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints. Optional visit to a Maasai village. Afternoon game drive in Ndutu before dinner and overnight at lodge or tented camp.

Day 4 Full Day Ndutu Migration Safari

Spend the entire day exploring the Ndutu plains where large herds of wildebeests and zebras gather during the calving season. During this time thousands of calves are born each day attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas. Picnic lunch followed by afternoon game drives.

Day 5 Ndutu To Ngorongoro Highlands

Morning game drive in Ndutu before driving towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy scenic landscapes and wildlife sightings along the way. Dinner and overnight at lodge in Karatu or near the crater rim.

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return To Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater

After early breakfast descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a wildlife safari. Animals commonly seen include lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos and the endangered black rhino. After picnic lunch ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha.
