Breakfast at hotel. Early this morning, drive 160 km East of Hanoi to Halong. Arrive in Halong and board a private junk for a 4-hour cruise. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty.
“Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, the picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes such as Thien Cung and Dau Go. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board before returning to Hanoi.

Breakfast at hotel. This morning depart on a city tour of Hanoi visiting Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Monday & Friday and the whole October and November for maintenance) and his simple stilt house, the One-Pillar Pagoda, and the Army Museum (closed on Mondays).
After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Ho Chi Minh City.
Breakfast at hotel. Today you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Cu Chi to visit an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. Explore the tunnels and see how the escapes were planned.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City and have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the History Museum (closed on Mondays. If Day 4 falls on Monday you will visit the War Remnants Museum instead). Continue your sightseeing with a quick photo stop at famous tourist sites such as the Reunification Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.
Enjoy dinner at local restaurant before returning to your hotel. Overnight at Ho Chi Minh City.
Breakfast at hotel. This morning drive down to My Tho. Enroute visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is a prosperous town of 170,000 inhabitants in the Mekong Delta. It is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit an orchard on an island before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast at the hotel you have time at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
