Himachal Pradesh is a northern Indian state in the Himalayas. It's home to scenic mountain towns and resorts such as Dalhousie. Host to the Dalai Lama, Himachal Pradesh has a strong Tibetan presence. Dalhousie also one of the best hill station in Himachal Pradesh. Attractive cottages and villas cling to the deodar and pine mantied hills of Dalhousie, while pink snd red rhododendrons bloom and trees stand tall in different shades of green.

DHARAMSALA
Dharamshala is also the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh. It has a magnificent view of snowy peaks, deodar and pine forest, tea gardens and beautiful hills.

AMRITSAR
Amritsar is the sikh religion’s spiritual centre. The golden temple is the main shrine. Its also very close to India’s western border with Pakistan.

There are several shopping joints in the city. The old city bazaars are better places for shopping traditional Indian wears in Amritsar. Trendy shopping malls with swish interiors are quite common in the city. If you want to shop top brands, do give them a shot. Alternatively, hang out at Cooper Road, Mochi Bazaar, Guru Bazaar, Shastri Market for some good shopping in Amritsar.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

PATHANKOT/ AMRITSAR (from Pathankot- 116 kms/ 2 hrs)

Arrival at Pathankot / Amritsar. On arrival checkin at hotel and later visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 2

AMRITSAR TO DALHOUSIE (198 kms/ 4 hrs)

After breakfast we checkout from Hotel and proceed for Dalhousie by Road (06hrs.) Situated at 2039 mts in the outer slope s of the Dhaula Dhar range with its natural beauty and natural surroundings. On arrival check- in at the hotel. Rest of the day for leisure and shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

DALHOUSIE

Full day sightseeing to Khajjiar, 18 kms from. Dalhousie. Its one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island and 9-hole golf course here are the other interesting places to cover. Return to Dalhousie and overnight at the hotel.

DALHOUSIE

After morning breakfast take half day local sightseeing and evening free for Shopping and leisure.

Day 5

DALHOUSIE TO DHARAMSHALA (230 kms/ 6hrs)

After breakfast drive 230 kms 6hrs from Manali to Dharamshala. Check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to enjoy. We suggest you to enjoy a walk along the mall road, where Tibetan refugees display and sell their crafts. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

Day 6

DHARAMSHALA

After breakfast, visit Norbulingka institute which is perhaps one of its best in the world. Institute has its own Temple, Museum, Meditation hall, one thousand, one hundred and seventy-three images of the Buddha decorate the forty four foot high temple hall. Than we visit residential school run by Tibetan refugees, also visit Tibetan crafts village, where Tibetan refugees are imparted training for making various handicrafts, carpet as well as tailoring. Evening free for shopping in the market. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala

Day 7

DHARAMSHALA TO AMRITSAR/ PATHANKOT (to Amritsar- 202 kms/ 4 hrs) (to Pathankot- 87 kms/ 2 hrs)

Today after breakfast we proceed for Amritsar/ pathankot by road (4 hrs/ 2 hrs). drop at Amritsar/ pathankot Railway Station / Airport. TOUR END.
