Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Gauwahati - Shillong (130 Kms/3-4 Hrs)

Arrive Guwahati. Transfer by road to Shillong, a hill town situated at an altitude of 1496 m above sea level.Proceed to hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to explore local markets on your own, overnight at the hotel
Day 2 Shillong

This morning you will proceed on an excursion to Cherapunjee (60 kms/1.5 hrs one way), situated in one of the rainiest rain-belt in the world, 1,300 m above sea level, The lovely town is also famous for its limestone caves and orange honey. Centre of Khasi culture and literature. In the afternoon you will visit Burra Bazar or Idew Market (closed on Sundays), one of the most interesting markets one can see over here Overnight at the hotel
Day 3 Shillong - Kaziranga (325 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)

Early this morning you will be transferred to Kaziranga, a title of a remarkable success story of conservation of the One Horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives in the North East India. Arrive and proceed to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure, overnight at the hotel
Day 4 Kaziranga National Park

Early this morning enjoy an Elephant safari, where you will have an rare opportunity to see the Single horned Rhinoceros and some other rare exotic wild life. Also enjoy a game viewing in the sanctuary by jeep, overnight at the hotel

Day 5 Kaziranga - Gauwahati (220 Kms/4-5 Hrs)

Brahmaputra River

This morning you will be transferred by road to Guwahati , situated on the southern bank of Brahmaputra river and gateway to the North eastern states of India. Rest of the day is at leisure for shopping and local sightseeing, overnight at the hotel

Day 6 Depart Guwahati

Transfer to Airport/railway station for your onward journey back home
