Beautiful Shillong with Guwahati Tour

Kickstart the expedition with your arrival at the Guwahati station/airport, meet and straight away get transferred to Shillong. It takes nearly 3.5 hours to reach this stunning hill-town of Shillong. En route Shillong, drop by the Borapani Lake, this lake is the biggest artificial reservoir in the state of Meghalaya. Also popular as the Umiam Lake, Sylvan hills engulf it beautifully. On reaching Shillong, check-in at the guesthouse and spend the rest of the day at leisure, and later, hop on a cozy bed.

This dawn, after breakfast, commence the expedition towards the Wettest place on Earth, Cherrapunji. It is located at a distance of 60 km and on the way come across multiple waterfalls, limestone caves, prominent root bridge, and other natural sites to provide several activities. Visit the magnificent Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawsmai Cave and the Thangkharang Park. In the evening, return to Shillong and on the way back, halt by the Elephanta Falls and the popular Shillong Peak, it allows a mighty view. Afterwards, return back to the hotel and stay overnight at the Shillong hotel.

Soon after breakfast, head for the half-day expedition trip in Shillong. Visit Japanese-styled park of Lady Hydari Park, adorned with roses and other multi-hued flowers in a large expanse. Proceed towards Guwahati, which takes nearly 3.5 hours ride to reach. On arrival, check in at the guesthouse and afterwards, go out for a quick trip to the Kalaksgetra, a spot where they display a light and sound show depicting the Assamese culture and history. You can even opt for an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra. Return back to the hotel and unwind for the night.
