Bhaktapur, the City of Devotees, has many names and even more facets. Also called by the name of Bhadgaon, Khwopa and Khwopinggram in earlier days, this ancient Newar city, which used to be a Malla kingdom until towards the end of the 15th Century, is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bhaktapur is home to ancient traditions, festivals and colorful celebrations, wooden and stone craft work, temples displaying excellent architecture with beautiful ponds, mask dance with typical Newari music, narrow stone paved gallis(streets) and close neighborhood.
The picturesque Patan, also known as Manigal in local language, was founded by the Kirats around 3rd Century BC. The Patan City is designed in the shape of Dharma Chakra, which is a shape that exhibits paths to enlightenment based on the teachings of Buddha. Patan is the centre of exquisitely ancient craftwork in the midst of urbanization.
You will then head to Bhaktapur. Alienated from the other valleys of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur is an old city where you get to behold the traces of ancient civilizations and their marvels, sensitively protected culture and tradition, the historic Patan Durbar Square, the iconic Nyatapola temple as well as many other temples and ponds. You will walk through the clean but narrow stone paved streets flanked by closely built traditional houses and also be able to watch artisans carving woods and making earthen pots.
Next on our itinerary is Patan City which also has a grand collection of Architectural masterpieces in the Patan Durbar Square periphery.
Towards the dusk, we will transfer you back to your hotel, ending the day's splendid tour.

During spring and autumn months, you can simply set with your camera, t- shirt, pullover, and mineral water in your bag.
You can dress yourself casually in shirt, t-shirt, common pant, or jeans/short pant etc. Good trainers are recommended rather than sandals though.

Day 1 : Day At Leisure
Our tour of Patan and Bhaktapur starts at 9 AM. We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Changu Narayan temple. Build as early as 325 AD; Changu Narayan is the oldest known Vishnu temple. Displaying the masterpiece of Nepalese Pagoda Architecture, the temple has a private museum nearby where you will see an impressive exhibition of ancient Nepalese crafts, coins, arts and architecture.
