Buddhist Circuit Tour - Ariyotours

Day 1 - Departure from CST/LTT railway station (Mumbai) to Shravasti via 3rd AC sleeper.

Shravasti (one night stay) we will visit a number of places in this area:

Jetvan Vihar, which was donated by Anathapindika.
Shravasti’s Vipassana center, where Anapana will be taught to non-meditators.
Gautam Buddha’s relics.
Vishaka Mahal.
Angulimala Stupa.
Jantar Mantar.
Overnight stay in Shravasti

From Shravasti, we arrive in Nepal (2 nights stay). In Nepal, we will visit the following places:

Visit to Buddha’s birthplace – Lumbini Vihar.
Mahamaya’s Vihar. Mahamaya was Buddha’s mother.
Kapil Vast: Tilora Court – Shudhodhan’s palace.
Mahamaya and Shudhodhan’s relics visit.

Rambhar Stupa (where Buddha’s body was burned after Mahaparinirvana).

Amravan (which is donated by Amrapali) to Buddha.
The place where Mahaprajapati Gautami became Bhikkhuni for the first time.
Vishwa Shanti Stupa made by Japan.

Day 9: 14th March – Rajgir & Nalanda

Nalanda Vishwa Vidyalaya (actual site).
Nalanda Museum.
Son Bhandar (Cave).
Rajgiri – Veluwan – donated by King Bimbisar.
Jail of Raja Bimbisar.
Ropeway – Vishwa Shanti Stupa; ropeway charges are 100 rupees per person.
Saptaparni Caves – where the first meeting of 500 Arhants (First Sangha) organized by Bhante Kashyap.
Place where Devdatta attacked Buddha with a stone.
place where Buddha meditated a lot after attaining enlightenment.

Day 9: 14th March – Rajgir & Nalanda

Nalanda Vishwa Vidyalaya (actual site).
Nalanda Museum.
Son Bhandar (Cave).
Rajgiri – Veluwan – donated by King Bimbisar.

Ropeway – Vishwa Shanti Stupa; ropeway charges are 100 rupees per person.
Saptaparni Caves – where the first meeting of 500 Arhants (First Sangha) organized by Bhante Kashyap.
Place where Devdatta attacked Buddha with a stone.

(2 nights stay) – In Bodhgaya, We will visit the following places:

Main temple where Buddha became enlightened.
All seven weeks places where Buddha spent time after enlightenment.
Niranjana River – Sujata Kheer.
Dongeshwari (place where Buddha did tapasya – like eating one rice a day, sometimes nothing).
Sujatagad (Sujata Stupa) where she used to live.
Visit to the selected countries’ viharas.
80 feet sitting Buddha statue.
Bikkhu Sangha donation of food, which is already included in your payment.
