Not too far from Rome, in the countryside of the city lay the ancient town of Ostia. Our driver will pick you up right outside the ship and you will spend the first half of the day exploring the beautifully preserved 2nd century ruins of the once thriving Ancient Osita with one of our personal private licensed guides. This marvelously preserved site presents Roman life at the time of the Caesars. From bars and bathrooms to boarding houses and brothels, Ostia illustrates how both noble and normal people used to live, functione and interacte in this port city.
