Champagne Snorkel Adventure

Your exciting tour begins with a short, but picturesque, drive south of Roseau through the quaint village of Pointe Michel to the facilities at Champagne. Here, you will be outfitted with high quality snorkel gear and given an orientation to the facility and the adventure that awaits you.

Champagne is Dominica's premier snorkeling site, and, in recent years, has earned a reputation as one of the top five underwater destinations in the world. The area is part of a submerged volcano and, as such, many tiny crystal bubbles continuously rise from small volcanic geothermal fissures in the sea floor up to the surface, thus the name Champagne! Gliding through these bubbles is like swimming in a glass of Champagne--and it's even more fun than New Year's Eve!

The reefs in these waters are quite spectacular also. Expect to see a myriad of sea life, including sponges, lobster, parrot fish, turtles, and sea horses, as well as a multitude of gorgeous multi-coloured hard and soft coral.
