At a designated time, you will be picked up by our local tour guide from your hotel in Arequipa. Afterwards we will go downtown, where we will start our city tour. Our first visit will take place at one of the most remarkable buildings of Arequipa, the Santa Catalina Monastery. This Monastery is a wonderful place that once housed the nuns of Arequipa for many centuries. Later on, we will walk around the main plaze of Arequipa, becoming more familiar the architecture and the surrounding colonial arches, as well as colonial culture that once lived. At the main plaza we will stop to visit the interiors of the magnificent Cathedral of Arequipa. Furthermore, we will later visit the Museum of Santuarios Andinos, where we will see the mummy named Juanita. Juanita is an amazingly frozen body of a little girl that was found at the cold slopes of the Ampato Mountain. This will conclude our guided tour.Travel insurance
