Then this is the perfect opportunity! Nagarkot is situated at an altitude of 2,175m at a distance of 32km from Kathmandu valley and just 20km from Bhaktapur. Among the several day hiking hills in Kathmandu valley, Nagarkot is the most beautiful and famous spot for both foreigners and tourists. Therefore, this is one of the most popular places for enjoying a beautiful sunrise and sunset. In addition, the hill provides magnificent mountain views of Langtang, Ganesh Himalal and part of the Everest mountain ranges. Especially enjoyable are the many birds and butterflies this area is home to.

Besides many choices, the west hiking trail to Changu Narayan is one of the most famous routes for everyone who loves hiking. The Changu Narayan temple is a very ancient pagoda style (multi roof temple) and it is dedicated to the Lord Vishnu. Here Lord Vishnu is worship, wherefore many of hindu pilgrims visit this place for blessing.

From kathmandu, we drive to Nagarkot. Once everyone arrive at Nagarkot, we start our hiking after enjoying with high tea with great Himalayan mountain views. It is about 4 hours walk to Changunarayan Temple passing through the local villages and little hills. It is a beautiful walk descending via Telkot. We can take short break for tea and at the Changunarayan we can have lunch. After lunch, we can do some sightseeing before we drive to Bhaktapur and further to KathmanduPersonal hiking equipment
