Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park has a lot to offer bird-watchers, with more than 350 species recorded in its small area. The Zambezi River is a magnet for aquatic birds including rock pratincole, African finfoot and a wide variety of herons and lapwings. The riverine forest is always alive with birdcalls; flocks of noisy trumpeter hornbills and spectacular Schalow’s turacos will impress even the most casual of birders.
