Meal: Breakfast/lunch– Accommodation: Hotel in Saigon Kick off your interesting Vietnamese holiday with a charming tour around the most amazing neighborhood in town that encompasses Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post Office and the likes. Later in the day, head for the War Remnants Museum, and the Reunification Palace, the place housing the national government till the 1970s. After lunch, you will resume the trip with a visit to China Town and Ben Thanh Market, two of the most bustling, characteristic and popular places in town, consisting of innumerable shops and stalls tightly packed together.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch– Accommodation: Hotel in Can Tho Breakfast at your hotel. The guide picks you up and transfers you to Ben Tre. On arrival, you will take a local boat and then cruise along Ham Luong River, a tributary to the Mekong River. The cool wind from the river and green islands along its banks will get you excited to uncover all the great things ahead. This is the homeland of the coconut tree in Vietnam so you will have a chance to visit local workplaces to find how local people make their crafts. Touring around the village roads by “Xe Lôi”, the local vehicle, which is a kind of motorized rickshaw. Kayak through the natural canals to get a real experience of the peaceful beauty of the Mekong River as well as the rural life there. After lunch at the local house, you will have some time for relaxing. Then take a car transfer back to Saigon. Overnight in hotel.

Meal: Breakfast/ Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi. Today you will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight bound for Hanoi. Upon arrival, the local guide will pick you up and transfer you to city central. Transfer to airport for your flight to Hanoi. In the afternoon, we spend a half day to visit most highlight of this charming city. You will visit the very impressive Museum of Ethnology, with many exhibits, photographs and actual houses inhabited by some of the 54 ethnic people in Vietnam. Then continue to visit Temple of Literature, the first University in Vietnam. From here, you will enjoy one-hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. This is great fun! Lastly, in the late afternoon, you will enjoy the unique Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch, dinner– Accommodation: Overnight on Cruise. After enjoying a breakfast, you will head out for a 3-4 hour ride to embark on your amazing Halong Bay cruise. Sailing around the UNESCO world heritage site, you could marvel at the grotesque limestone Karsts in the islands of Ha Long Bay, such as Dinh Huong and Ga Choi etc. Later on the agenda, you will go ashore to visit one of the fascinating caves in the bay area. And you will stay overnight on board.

Meal: Breakfast/Brunch -Accommodation: On Cruise Early Morning wakes up with Tai Chi Session on Sundek. You have an opportunity to enjoy the sun rising from the bay. After breakfast, you will visit a spectacular limestone grotto and then go back to the boat for a final glimpse of Ha Long Bay while cruising back to the dock. Checkout and the boat arrives at the harbor by noon for the drive back to Hanoi for your flight to Luang Phrabang.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch – Accommodation: Hotel in Luang Prabang After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its low sweeping rooves. We then board an upstream cruise on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. We’ll make sure to stop at the Pak Ou Caves, sanctuaries consisting of two large caverns, both repositories for thousands of Buddha images. We will also stop at a few villages during the day, including Ban Xanghai where the local rice wine is produced and Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan. In the afternoon we’ll visit the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun. Once back in Luang Prabang we’ll take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving and, if time, Ban Xangkong and Ban Xieng Lek – small villages well known for silk weavings and for Saa (jute) Papermaking.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch – Accommodation: Hotel in Luang Prabang An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily alms giving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. You will visit the morning Phosi Market where you will find dried buffalo skins, local teas and saltpeter among the many foodstuffs and hill-tribe textiles. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will have the opportunity to visit ethnic minority groups in the Ban Ouay, Hmong, Ban Ou, Laoloum, Ban Thapene and Khmu Villages. After visiting the villages, we then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfalls where you have the chance to swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths. Next we move to Ock Pop Tok shop – The Living Crafts Centre which has to be one of the most beautiful spots in Luang Prabang, you can sit and enjoy the views out across the Mekong at sunset whilst enjoying some incredible traditional Laos dishes, all to the background click-clacking of the looms at work at the hands of Ock Pop Tok’s incredibly talented craftspeople. We return to Luang Prabang in the late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch – Accommodation: Hotel in Xieng Khouang After breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture. We also stop by the morning market. Afterward we drive 300 km uphill to Xieng Khouang. Upon arrival, we transfer out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are scattered all over the plateau. If time permits, we see the old capital of Muang Khoun and some nearby villages.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch – Accommodation: Hotel in Vientiane Following breakfast, we visit the Central Market, after which, you have free time to explore the town further before catching our flight to Vientiane. After checking into the hotel, we continue our sightseeing tour of the surrounding areas. Time permitting we’ll see the impressive Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge and Buddha Park, a scattered enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. There are approximately 200 religious images here. A spectacular view of over the Mekong River at sunset is a perfect way to finish the day.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch – Accommodation: Hotel in Vientiane After breakfast, we continue to explore Vientiane by visiting the major city sights, including Wat Sisaket, which contains more than 8000 Buddha statues, Wat Ho Prakeo the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue and That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos. We also see the Patuxay (Lao Arc de Triomphe), which was built recently in commemoration of those who died during past wars and today it is the city’s main landmark. We continue visiting the rest of Vientiane by foot, including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. We pass by the major shopping areas and the Vientiane Central Markets where various goods are displayed for sale. We return to the Mekong Riverside in the late afternoon to enjoy the coffee break on the sunset.
