On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be taken for a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city, passing the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum river, check in to your hotel and relax. Day excursion of Sonmarg After breakfast, proceed to Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. Sonmarg is at 98kms from Srinagar and it will take about 3 hours to reach Sonmarg. The moment you enter Sonmarg, the first thing that you notice will be the snow-covered mountains that form the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonmarg has a few of the loveliest flower collections in Jammu and Kashmir. Activities/ Sightseeing at Sonmarg You may take a pony ride (at your own expense) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains almost round the year.
