Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (Assam)

Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga (250 Kms / 5 hrs drives approx). Check in Hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park:
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sqkms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
Note: This is for your information that elephant ride and jeep safari and forest entry are regulated and controlled by the forest dept. Govt. of Assam. As such we do not have any control for booking of elephant seats and entry by jeeps.

Day 2

Kaziranga National Park (Assam)

After breakfast enjoy the Park on a Jeep. Evening visit tea garden and local villages. Overnight at Kaziranga.

Day 3

Kaziranga – Shillong (Assam – Meghalaya)

After breakfast drive to Shillong (290 kms / 7 hrs drive approx). Check in at hotel. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 4

Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (Meghalaya)

Elephant Falls

After breakfast you will be traveling to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place on the earth. En route visit the famous Elephant Falls. At Cherrapunjee visit – Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah. Drive back to Shillong for overnight halt.
Note: Most of the waterfalls are dry during winter season.
Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch.

Day 5

Shillong – Guwahati (Meghayala – Assam)

After breakfast drive to Guwahati (110 Kms / 3 ½ hrs drive). Check in hotel. Later visit Kamakhya temple - it is situated at the top of the Nilachal Hill at about 800 feet above the sea level. The entire temple complex not only comprises of many other temples but also a whole set of people connected with them. Apart from the main Devi temple, it also comprises of some other major temples of Devi Kali, Tara, Bagala, Chinnamasta, Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi and Dhumavati. (Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till its gets dark)
Also visit Sankardev Kalakhetra or evening river cruise on direct payment. Overnight at Guwahati.

Day 6

Guwahati (Assam)

After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport.
