Leave Moshi early in the morning for Marangu Gate. The ridged route winds through the rainforest — lush and gloomy with moss adorning the trees. The journey to Mandara Hut takes around three hours, enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Hut before the short but strenuous walk to the Maundi Crater. The views to the east across Taveta and the northwest to Mawenzi Peak are spectacular. After taking in the scenery, climb back down to the Marangu Gate.

Introduction
Welcome to Mateza Tours & Travel. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or booking any of our tours, safaris, travel packages, or transfer you agree to be bound by these terms.
Booking & Reservations
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from Mateza Tours & Travel and the required deposit has been received.
• A deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking
• Full payment is due 30 days before the tour start date
• Late bookings (within 30 days) require full payment at the time of booking
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:
• More than 60 days before departure: 10% of total cost
• 30-60 days before departure: 30% of total cost
• 15-29 days before departure: 50% of total cost
• Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of total cost
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and personal belongings. Mateza Tours & Travel is not responsible for any losses incurred due to lack of adequate insurance coverage.
Health & Safety
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all health requirements for their chosen destination. This includes:
• Valid vaccinations (Yellow Fever certificate may be required)
• Appropriate medications and health precautions
• Disclosure of any medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate
Passports & Visas
It is the traveler's responsibility to ensure they have valid travel documents including passports and visas. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the travel dates. Mateza Tours & Travel can provide guidance on visa requirements but is not responsible for any issues arising from inadequate documentation.
Limitation of Liability
Mateza Tours & Travel acts as an agent for various service providers including hotels, transport companies, and activity operators. We are not liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by defect in any vehicle, or through the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in providing services included in the tour.
Changes to Itinerary
While we strive to operate all tours as advertised, we reserve the right to make changes to itineraries when necessary due to weather conditions, wildlife movements, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. Any such changes will be made with the safety and enjoyment of our guests as the primary consideration.

* 20% Advance Percentage of total booking amount
* Airfare/Transport fare to be paid full at one time in advance.

Cancellation & Refund Policy :

* Upon cancellation, refund will be made after deducting the Retention Amount.
* Retention Amount varies as per the number of days left before your package start date.
* Refund will be made within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the cancellation.
