About The Trek:-The tour starts with a short visit to Naggar and crossing some beautiful villages of Kullu valley and passing through the thick forest. Bijali Mahdev Temple (The Temple of Lightening) is situated at an altitude of 2400 mts. From the temple site, you can have a panoramic view of Kullu & Paravti valleys.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Manali - Naggar (30 kms by jeep) - Jana (9 kms trek)

Travel by jeep from Manali to Naggar by jeep. Start the trek passing through village upto Jana village. The terrain would provide you views of Kullu valley with the river far below. Overnight in tents at Jana.

Day 2

Jana - Matikochar (10 kms)

A pleasant walk through forest to Matikochar forest. Overnight in tents at Matikochar (2950 m).

Day 3

Matikochar - Bijli Mahadev (10 kms)

A pleasant walk through forest to Bijli Mahadev which is a meadow exactly on top of Kullu town. Bijli Mahadev has a temple of Lord Shiva and the entire town of Kullu flocks to this temple during the month of August. This meadow at Bijli Mahadev provides birds eye view of Kullu and Bhuntar. Overnight in tents.

Day 4

Bijli Mahadev - Kullu (8 kms) - Manali (40 kms)

Descend down to Kullu town from where a jeep would pick you back to Manali. End of tour in Manali.
