Cortallam is a local getaway known for its waterfalls and natural beauty at 60 km from Tirunelveli Courtallam is where perennial rivers such as the Chittar River, the Manimuthar River, the Pachaiyar River and the Tambaraparani River originate. Courtallam is home to three major waterfalls - the Tiger Falls, the Main Falls and the Five Falls.
Old Courtallam Falls, further away from the rest, is another attractive, and perhaps the largest amongst the Courtallam falls. Other attractions at Courtallam include a snake park and a public aquarium. There are temples as well of Lord ThiruKutralanathar(Siva) and Kutraleeswar Temple. Thirukutralanaadhar Temple near the Main Falls is dedicated to Lord Siva. It is an important and the oldest temple.Meals other than specified.
