Vientiane means The City Of The Moon. It is the capital of Laos and its largest city. It sits on the left bank of The Mekong River, in a sweeping bend. Your Laos vacation begins as our guide greets you and escorts you to your hotel. After a short check in you will take a short sightseeing trip of the city, taking in some of its well-known historic sites. Wat Sisaket was built before the Siamese war of 1828 and is home to The Religious Museum. Its cloister contains 6,840 ceramic and silver statues of the Buddha. Wat Ho Prakeo used to house the Emerald Buddha. The Emerald Buddha is now in Bangkok and Wat Ho Prakeo now holds an important collection of Buddha statues. Pha That Luang is the name given to the impressive stupa. It is a symbol of the Lao Nation. It was built to cover an original smaller stupa, which it is claimed, holds a section of the breastbone of Buddha. The Arch of Triumph called Patouxy, was built between 1957 and 1968 and commemorates the nation’s war dead. It has become one of the most well-known landmarks of the city of Vientiane. Your Laos Trip then returns to your hotel where you can relax.

Your hotel breakfast is provided by your Laos tour, which then takes you by road to Nam Ngum Lake. On the way you will visit Ban Bor village to see the cottage salt factory. You then travel on to the spectacular lake which contains many small islands. Here local fishermen catch their produce daily and serve it at the lakeside restaurants. After you have enjoyed your lunch you will take a relaxing 1 hour boat trip around the lake. We then return you to your hotel. This Laos tour then returns for your overnight stay at the hotel.

Again breakfast is served courtesy of your Laos vacation tour, before your driver takes you 30 km to visit The Buddha Park. Here Buddhist and Hindu sculptures that were created by mystical monk are displayed in parkland located by The Mekong River and the Lao - Thai Friendship Bridge. There will be ample opportunity to take photographs of the impressive structure. We will then return to your hotel where your Laos tour has arranged overnight accommodation.
