Machu Picchu By Train

This is a great way to see a little bit of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu for those who have a short amount of time.

In this tour selection, you will depart from Cusco traveling to Ollantaytambo. This trip is approximately 2 hours.

In Ollantaytambo we are going to take the train to Aguas Calientes. This will take approximately 1.5 hours.

After a 1.5 hour train trip through the magnificent Vilcanota canyon, you will arrive at Aguas Calientes where you will be assisted with your hotel check-in. You may indulge in some souvenir shopping or try out the hot springs that Aguas Calientes is named for!

In Aguas Calientes your transportation will have the name ADVICE PERU.

There will be a briefing with the guide at 7 pm in the reception area of your Hotel.

Stay overnight in Aguas Calientes.

In order to take one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu, to beat the crowds, and to have an opportunity to see this World Heritage site in the early morning light, we will have to take an early bus.

You will have a 3 hour guided tour of the site and the opportunity to climb Machu Picchu Mountain to get pictures of the famous Machu Picchu. (Permits need to be organised at the time of booking.)

Spend time exploring this amazing site before taking the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and returning to Cusco via train.
