Begin the trek at Machame Gate at 1790m and climb to Machame Camp at 3010m. This first day introduces you to the Machame route environment, setting the pace for acclimatisation and offering views of the surrounding natural beauty along the Whiskey route.

Depart Machame Camp at 3010m and trek to Shira Camp at 3845m. This day gains significant altitude to help with acclimatisation while traversing changing vegetation zones and expansive views of the high mountain environment.

Leave Shira Cave area at approximately 3845m and continue to Barranco Camp at 3960m. The day involves traversing ridge sections and varied terrain as you continue altitude gain and acclimatisation on the Machame route.

Trek from Barranco Camp at 3960m to Barafu Camp at 4640m. The day includes steep sections and significant ascent as you approach the high camp, preparing for summit push with important acclimatisation and summit strategy discussions.

Begin the pre-dawn summit push from Barafu Camp at 4640m to reach UHURU PEAK at 5895m, the highest point. After reaching the summit, descend to Millennium Camp at 3790m for recovery. This day includes the technical summit ascent, summit at sunrise if timed, and a long descent to lower altitude for overnight.

Trek from Millennium Camp at 3790m down to Mweka Gate at 1630m. The descent follows the Mweka Route exit and concludes the trek with transfer arrangements back to Moshi as included in the package.
