Enjoy your completed North of Vietnam experience. Visit Hanoi, the millennium capital city, embark on a boat trip to the magnificent Halong Bay and admire Sapa, the most famous trekking base of Vietnam.
Day 1 : HANOI ARRIVAL
Fly to Hanoi, Vietnam's colonially influenced, atmospheric capital. Once you reach, be greeted and escorted to the hotel. Register yourself at the hotel reception and get over the jet lag. The day is at your disposal today to delight in just the way you want.
After enjoying the day, come back to the hotel for a relaxing sleep.
Day 2 : THE MILLENNIUM CITY OF HANOI
Although it is the modern-day capital of Vietnam, Hanoi still retains the mystery and charm of past centuries. Narrow lanes and traditional shop houses invite an exciting exploration by walking, while it’s many beautiful public spaces; lakes, parks, tree-lined boulevards and monuments; give the city an air of elegance and harmony with nature unique among Asian capitals.
Start the day trip with Tran Quoc pagoda, a Buddhist relic and national heritage lying on the shore of the magnificent West Lake. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s complex, the final resting place of Viet Nam’s greatest father; his house-on-stilt and One pillar pagoda – modeled after a lotus flower, a symbol of Hanoi. See the Temples of Literature dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars; the very first university in Vietnam; where you can have a deep insight into Vietnam culture and tradition, especially our education system in the past.
Lunch break at a local restaurant for the local delicacies or special arrangements to meet your own request and diet.
Rest of the day, get back to Hanoi Old Quarter - the heart of this millennium city and enjoy a cyclo ride through many historic lanes. End the day with a water puppet show before the transferring back to your hotel for the night. One can also choose to have a cup of local coffee (Egg/Coconut coffee) on the high-ground coffee shop and enjoy the view of Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and the old Hoan Kiem Lake.
Day 3 : OVERNIGHT CRUISE IN HALONG BAY
Travel to Halong Bay- a wondrous place carved by Mother Nature, in the Gulf of Tonkin, that has given birth to so many myths and legends. Perhaps, there is nowhere else in the world, where you will be met by such a romantic setting. Cruise around the bay, and spend time with your beloved. Witness as the sun goes down over thousands of towering limestone karsts and islets.
Halong Bay’s thousands of limestone islands project from the tranquil depths of emerald waters creating a vision of beauty to which very little compares. Board your comfortable cruise ship and enjoy a seafood lunch before setting sail into the bay. Drift amongst the karst pinnacles, stopping to explore mysterious caves as you go. Spend the night anchored amongst glorious scenery.
Day 4 : RETURN TO HANOI FROM HALONG BAY
Rise early to see the sun rise over the karst-scapes of the bay and savour the serenity of the early morning. Continue cruising through the bay, heading back to the wharf where there’s time for a hearty late breakfast before disembarking and travelling to Hanoi.
Day 5 : VENTURE TO SAPA YOUR FIRST TREK
The landscapes of Sapa combines mountains, rice paddies, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and caves giving you plenty of options for exploration. As well as the great range of activities on offer you will also develop your understanding of the varieties of cultures as you visit many different local villages.
You will take the luxury limousine transfer (shared 09-seater SAPA ECO VAN) from Hanoi to Sapa on the new highway Hanoi - Lao Cai. Enjoy 5.5 hour driving through the most beautiful terrace rice fields of Hmong people. Upon arrival, check in your hotel. Refresh and have lunch.
Visit Cat Cat village in the afternoon:
Nestled in a beautiful valley about three kilometers from Sapa Town, Cat Cat- the old village of ethnic groups- attracts tourists from all over the world for its distinctive customs and practices which have been lost in almost ethnic villages. The village is within easy walking distance from any hotel in downtown Sapa.
Our car will bring you from your hotel to Cat Cat Village and walk with you within the village (2km). At the village:
Meet and visit tribal houses; Learn more about ethnic minorities in Sapa (Thai, Tay and Hmong) which makes the most of population on this small beautiful town; House building techniques; Craftworks; Visit Tien Sa Water Falls, Si suspended bridge and watch beautiful cultural Dances;
Your transfer will bring you back to your hotel. It is nice to take a panorama photo of Muong Hoa Valley on the way back. Overnight in Sapa Town
Day 6 : FANSIPAN – THE ROOF ON INDOCHINA
Enjoy some free time in the morning and have breakfast at your hotel of stay. To avoid the early mist and fog, we will pick you up around 10.00 AM with our tour guide, see the Sapa Town Square and Sapa Rock Church before going to conquer Fansipan Mountain.
This afternoon you will have a chance to reach to the summit of Vietnam’s highest peak, Mount Fansipan by a brand-new cable car to admire stunning views of Muong Hoa valley and Hoang Lien National Forest from above. Our tour guide and driver will come and guide you to the “Muong Hoa Train Station” where you board the Muong Hoa Mountain train to get to the cable car station (Note that the tour guide won’t join you on the cable cab ride and the rest of the journey. The mountain top can be explored on your own without any hindrance)
The cable car transports you from the base of the 3,143‐metre Fansipan mountain to its highest point within 15 to 20 minutes. You will be presented to a magnificent view of natural (mountainous, forest, sea of clouds) and magnificent walls, temples, buildings.
There is an optional 600 step walk up to the mountain peak which is easy and very rewarded. The view on the top is amazing as you are on the top of Indochina. Witness the magnificent sunset of the top of Hoang Lien Son Mountain and get back to the bottom of the mountain and your hotel in Sapa.
Day 7 : HANOI DEPARTURE
Today depend on your flight time, be transferred to the international airport for your flight home or the next destinations.
