OCEAN SUNSET & CITY LIGHTS COTTESLOE
Australia’s West Coast is renowned for its magnificent Indian Ocean sunsets which, during the summer months, attract many Perth locals and visitors alike. A sunset may be a daily occurrence but there is something almost magical as you witness the Sun’s fiery orb slowly sinking on the broad Indian Ocean horizon; reflecting its fading yet still intense light on the surrounding sky and clouds turning them all shades of red, orange and mauve. Collect your pack of freshly-cooked fish and chips and join the locals on a nearby vantage point to watch the setting sun as you enjoy your fish feast and capture this special moment for your holiday album. After Nature’s spectacle is over and the night draws in, we head back to Perth to experience a light show of a different kind. It is no coincidence that, in 1962 , Perth was dubbed the City of Lights by the American astronaut, John Glenn, as the city’s luminescence was clearly visible from outer Space. At night, Perth’s city high-rise skyline is aglow: brightly-lit office towers and colourfully-illuminated landmarks combine to create a kaleidoscope of colour across the Swan River; a lovely way to end your evening tour.

NOTE: Spectacular sunsets cannot always be guaranteed. We are in the hands of Mother Nature.

  Drive to Cottesloe Beach
  A short drive through the western suburbs to iconic Cottesloe Beach. With its one kilometre of pure white sand , this beach is a long-established, local favourite for swimming, snorkeling and surfing and, after a hot summer’s day, is a great place to chill. The ocean breeze can be quite cool and the temperature usually drops with the setting sun so come prepared.

  Beachside stroll or time for a drink
  As the sun starts its rapid descent over the Indian Ocean, either take a stroll along the sand, purchase a drink from a local bar or cafe (own expense) or simply sit and soak up the unfolding scene. Don’t forget to confirm your meal order with your friendly tour driver

  Fish & Chip Dinner
  Collect your freshly-cooked fish and chip dinner. You can either dine at a table in the cafe or take your packet across to a spot along the beach front (trays supplied) and watch the sun as it dips lower and lower towards the horizon. Note: Tour price includes either fried (battered) OR grilled fish options. Additional menu items and sauces are at own expense.

  Return drive to Perth – City Lights
  After the sun has set and evening falls , we return to Perth and enjoy the City Lights from Kings Park and the South Perth foreshore before returning you to your City accommodation
