Valley of Triglav Lakes is a beautiful and remote high mountain valley in the heart of Julian Alps. It's characterised by many small lakes and a beautiful mountain landscape. No wonder that it lies in the core part of Triglav National Park. Actually, the park history started there, the valley was so pristine and wild that they decided it needs to be kept that way, so it became protected back in 1926.
The hike starts in Bohinj. It takes two hours to reach the first lake at the start of the valley, the Black Lake at altitude 1294m. The valley ascends up to 2000m and you pass 6 more lakes. One more beautiful than another.
We'll pass a mountain hut on the way, where we can rest, get some water and some food.
