Skiing Package Itinerary For Gulmarg

You will be picked up from Srinagar Airport and after 56 kms drive through the scenic Kashmir valley, you will reach your skiing destination Gulmarg in 1 & 1/2 hours. Once you reach Gulmarg will be check in the hotel. Your Instructor will invite you for a breifingnsession & acclimatization walk. In the eve time we will Distribute equipment & session on ski gears.

Your typical day would start with breakfast at 7:30 a.m after which will get you to the ski slope. We will start with the ski exercise then instructions by 9:30 a.m. Then you start with the ski walking exercise. Then it comes to basic techniques like how to make a control fall, in case of fall how to stand.Then in next half will take you to the baby slopenow it comes to snow plough technique. Participants will ski till around 1: 00 p.m after which they will return to the lodge for lunch. Timing can be varries according to atmosphere same. After lunch will come back to slope to practice ourlearning from the first half.

Rest of the day will be at leisure. In the evenings there will be video sessions on skiing techniques. Also sitting around the fire and creating music in the evening or listening to it. Around the lodge there are nice walks and good exploring opportunities for one to indulge in. Hot tea/coffee/soups along with variety of eating options will keep your taste buds satisfied.

Today you will learn and practice snow plough and snow plough turn technique. You will be perfecting your snow plough. Same time your instructor will teach you some exercises by which you improve balance on ski.

Now you have some idea how to go down in control. The snow plough turn is a braking and turning skiing technique, usually taught to beginners. The front tips of the skis are brought together and the tails pushed wide apart, with the knees rolled inwards slightly. By applying pressure against the snow with the edges of the skis, speed is reduced and the skier can stop completely or can go down in control. Today you can enjoy ski and can sharpen your skills.

This day you will start your session with new techniques that is side traverse & uphill swing. Traverse is technique by which you learn how to ski diagonally & same time uphill swing gives you a break. This technique is very useful for skiers safety. While skiing if you are going in wrong direction and about to bang some obstacle or your speed is uncontrol in that condition you can take break and can save yourself.. That’s why its very important technique for beginners

Each day you learn new thing by your practice. Instructor can guide you for the different techniques but its your practice by which you learn. You learn by yourself, from your mistakes. As much as time you spend with ski. You get familiar with it & im prove your balancing. So today also you gonna sharpen snow ploughIf some doing good in Slough plough turns then he/she can jump for parallel ski otherwise you need to Sharpen your skill in snow plough Turn. The most important thing in ski is your body posture. Keep doing experiment, your instructor will be with you all time. They will be keep guiding you.

In the first half we will take you to site scene at Kongdori by cable car. Kongdori is the 1st phase of the world second highest gondola (advance form of cable car). It’s a beautiful place located on mid of mighty Apharwat Mountain. It’s a big white meadow in winters. You will see an advance level of ski here. Skiers doing ski from chairlift & 2nd phase of gondola. After visiting this place definetly you gonna come for advance level of ski. We will come back by 2pm & will be going for ski slope.

In the next half session your instructor will take you to the advance slope where a competition will happen.

In the eve time will be certification ceremony.
