Day 1

Varanasi Sightseeing

After arrival at the Varanasi Airport/Varanasi Junction Railway Station, transfer to the hotel and check in. Later, proceed for a boat ride and witness the spectacular evening Aarti (a ritual of worship with lamps), both of which are quintessential Banaras experiences. After this, head back to your hotel.
Day 2

Varanasi and Sarnath Sightseeing

Bharat Kala Bhavan

Proceed for an early morning boat ride on the holy Ganga River. See bathing Ghats and cremation sites on the banks of the river. Post the boat ride, return to the hotel for a scrumptious breakfast. Later, visit some famous temples of Varanasi followed by the Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Kala Bhavan and other holy places. There are more than 2000 temples in Varanasi and many of these ancient temples date back to the medieval period. After spending the morning in Varanasi, you will be visiting Sarnath, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located at the confluence of the Ganga and Varuna rivers, 13 km north-east of Varanasi and is hailed as one of the holiest Buddhist places. It is believed that it was here that the Buddha gave his first sermons. Later, you will visit the Sarnath Museum. The museum houses antiques from the excavations of the archeological site of Sarnath.
