Toraja Tour Incl. White Water Rafting

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will be picked up by our tour guide. Then we will directly depart to Tana Toraja with approx. 8 hours drive passing through the Buginese villages with their typical houses on poles. On the way, we will visit the fishermen village in Barru district with its beautiful beach panorama. If we are lucky, we also could see the traditional Buginese “ Pa’bagan “ fisher boats. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, stop also will be made on Puncak Lakawan for having coffee break while enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Kabobong. Late in afternoon, arrive in Rantepao, Tana Toraja. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

After breakfast, we will take you on a full day Toraja tour. First, we will visit Lemo where we can find hanging graves with their rows of Tau-Tau sculptures. Then we will visit to Londa, an ancient and natural grave in a cave with its entombed deceased. On to Bori, where we will see the ancient megalith stones and the extra ordinary of the baby graves on tree which called “ Tarra Tree “. Afterwards drive up to Tinombayo to enjoy the scenic view of rice terraces with megalith stones spread over the rice fields and small Toraja villages seen from the top of the hill. Then we will take you to Batutumonga Restaurant for having lunch while enjoy the beautiful view of Rantepao surrounded by big rocky mountains. After lunch we will have a soft trekking around Batutumonga mountainous area to enjoy the rural atmosphere with typical local life style. In the afternoon, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning, pick up at your hotel at 08.00, then drive to start point in the mountains is 1 ½ hours from Rantepao, after a 40 minutes walk through quite villages and rice fields. It’s in water for 3 or 4 hours of seriously fun whitewater rafting. Here you can find a very beautiful landscape and you will see special animals like leguan, big butterflies and beautiful birds. We top quality equipment to make for a safer and more enjoyable rafting experience. We stop in a very quite river bank for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out hotel. Then we drive back to Makassar via the same road of 1st day. Lunch will be served Kenari Bukit Indah Restaurant Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, arrive in Makassar. Onwards, transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch your flight for your next destination.
