Kodagu has earned the title as “Adventure Capital of Karnataka”. Hiking in Coorg is a mind blowing experience where there are many summits to conquer and many jungles to explore.The lush green hills & calm climate makes Coorg resort outing a wonderful experienece. This district is in Western Ghats and receives higher than average rainfall. It is famous for coffee, tea plantations, orange grooves & spice plantations.

There are so many trekking routes for Coorg trekking. The major trails are Thadiandmol Trekking, Iruppu Falls Trekking, Galibeedu to Subramania & Shanivarshante to Subramania.Adventurenest organises the best treks near Coorg.

Tadiandmol:

Tadiandmol trekking is the best, since it is the highest peak in the Kodagu district at an altitude of 5735 feet above the sea level. The name of the hill is derived from Kannada word which means large mountain. You will be traveling from your destination to kakkabe which is the base town of the peak.

The overnight journey will be exciting to make it a perfect destination for trekking. The trek starts from nalakand palace which is 4 kms from the main road. You can feel the essence of fresh coffee farms that spread on acres of land in all directions. You will find a small water fall while trekking and many water streams which sooths your eyes. While walking further you will encounter several species of insects, rare colorful snails, some vibrant butterflies passing all the way. On the right side you can capture the lush green flora under the deepest of the blue sky with clouds scattered in all directions. The huge rock often called as BIG ROCK is used as a camping ground. You will be standing on the huge rock and will be capturing the panoramic view of WesternGhats. The much awaited dinner will be served once you reach the base camp and you can enjoy the bonfire at the chilled night.

Irrupu Falls:

The trek towards irrupu falls is interesting because it overlaps with Brahmagiri wildlife sanctauray which is a home of endangered species. The distance from irrupu falls to brahmagiri peak is 9 kms. The upward trek requires 5 -5 hours. The route takes you through dense greenery & the trek is considered to be moderately difficult. Before starting the trek you will find the stream known as Lakshmana Thirtha River. While trekking you will encounter and walk through the grass lands. We will conduct Adventure outing at Irrupu falls and take care of your trekking needs.

Galibeedu to Subramania:

Galibeedu is a beautiful village and best trekking place in coorg. This trekking is called as Nature Trek wherein for about 25 to 30 kms you will be able to view the different forms of nature. This is one of the toughest trek because there may chances of missed by confusing routes. We have an experienced team who has travelled more than 20 times to this destination.

Sanivarshante to Subramania:

Sanivarsanthe is a small village situated in somwarpet taluk. This trek is about 30-35 kilometers. This is the one of the best Coorg trekking trails which is famous for small waterfalls and animal behaviors. This trek will end up with subramania which is the small town in dakshina kannada.
