Package Overview

This tour will consists of visiting Maa Vaishno Devi Shrines along with ancient temples of Sudh Mahadev along with famous lakes of Jammu region Mansar and Surinsar. The temple at Sudh Mahadev is beleived to be of Mahabharta times. At Mansar lake you can enjoy boating. Mansar has a religious significance also. There are many ancient temples at the lake side. The highlight of this tour is visiting Mantalai which is nearby to the Sudh Mahadev Temple. There is a temple of Maa Parvati at Mantalai and it is believed that marriage of Shiva- Parvati is taken at this place.Any extra Adult or Child (> 5 years) other than mentioned in the Inclusives above (Same shall be directly charged at the Hotel/Houseboat/Camp)

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival - Jammu - Katra

Pick up from Jammu Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Katra (50 Kms/1.5 Hours). Spend rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Katra.
Day 2

Katra - Vaishno Devi Darshans

Early morning after breakfast, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan- one of the most popular pilgrimages of India situated in the lap of Trikuta mountains across Katra town at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra involves a trek of nearly 12 Kms from base camp at Katra known as Ban Ganga. Alternate way to perform darshans is by Ponies/Palkis/ Helicopter. If time permits, visit Bhairo Temple & return back to Katra in the evening. Overnight stay at Katra.
Day 3

Katra - Sudh Mahadev - Jammu

After breakfast, proceed for Sudh Mahadev which is famous for ancient Shiva Temple that houses a natural black marble Lingam, the Trident (Trishul) of Lord Shiva and mace believed to be that of Bheema, one of the five legendary Pandava brothers. This holy temple near Patnitop is situated at an altitude of 1225 m and is about 90 Kms from Katra. After darshans, visit Mantalai & Gauri Kund and proceed for Jammu. Overnight stay at Jammu.
Day 4

Jammu - Mansar - Surinsar - Departure

Early morning after breakfast, proceed for Mansar (59 Kms from Jammu). This place is famous for a beautiful lake surrounded by forest-covered hills with its length more than a mile and width half-a-mile. It is the most popular destination for local excursions in Jammu. Enjoy boating in the Lake for which adequate facilities are provided by the J&K Tourism Deptt. Mansar is a holy site as well, sharing the legend and sanctity of Lake Mansarovar. There are ancient temples on the lake side, which are often visited by devotees in large numbers. Back to Jammu in the evening. En route visit Surinsar famous for another beautiful Lake. Finally, drop at Railway Staion for your onward journey with sweet memories of the tour.
