This Hanoi tour package is designed to offer you a wonderful day out in the peaceful countryside area of Hanoi, doing farming activities and enjoying the delicious local food. Today you will head out to the outskirt area of Hanoi to Tien Le Vegetable Village to join our farming tour, which will enable you to discover more about Vietnam’s countryside. After about 1 hour driving, you will arrive in the village and be welcomed with our smiling, warm-hearted local guide and host, and enjoy a cup of green tea before getting started. First, we will visit the local market and wander around the hundreds of stalls selling food, meat, veggies, farming tools, etc. Pick some freshly harvested ingredients which will be used in our coming cooking session. Coming back from the market, you will put on the farming clothes, taking the farming tools on hands and then bike to the field where many local farmers are working on. Listen to your guide and host explaining about the herbs’ and veggies’ names, their uses in daily life, etc. Then, you can try doing some farming activities such as plowing, growing vegetables, watering, and fertilizing, etc. Bike back to your host family’s house, where you will join with them to cook for lunch and enjoy your own creations then! In the afternoon, hop on your bike and start cycling to the nearby Son Dong Craft Village that dates back over 800 years, known for their art of wood carving. Son Dong Village has been famous for its wooden worshipping artworks for centuries and you will soon be surprised by their talents and skills. Wandering around the village then you will conclude wrap up your trip with a visit to a pagoda in the village before biking back to your host family in Tien Le Village. Enjoy a cup of green tea before bidding goodbye to your host family and getting into the car to travel back to Hanoi.
