Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival & proceed for Pahalgam

  Pick up from Jammu Railway Station and proceed for Pahalgam (280 Kms) which is around 9-10 hours drive. Pahalgam was once the most popular hill station for the Indian Film Industry. This place is famous for its rich scenic beauty, healthy climate, vast meadows, adventure tourism and its breathtaking views. Enjoy the view of picturesque mountains and the river ‘Lidder’ while on the way to Pahalgam. En route visit Patnitop, a famous hill resort perched on a beautiful plateau, at an altitude of 2024 metres across which the Jammu-Srinagar Highway passes. Also see the first hill resort of this circuit, Kud (1738 m) on the way. You can have tea and refreshment here. Check into the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Pahalgam.

• Day 2 : Proceed for Srinagar

  After breakfast, check out from the hotel and explore places around Pahalgam like Betab Valey, Aru Valley and Chandanwari by hiring a local taxi as outside tourist vehicles are not allowed there. Proceed for Srinagar in the evening and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Srinagar.

• Day 3 : Gulmarg

  After breakfast, proceed for Gulmarg (54 Kms) which is the most famous & scenic hill resort of Kashmir. Free at leisure for rest of the day. You may enjoy horse riding on plush meadows. Have Gandola ride upto the peak heights of Khilanmarg for which tickets are available at J&K State Cable Car Corporation office in Gulmarg. Advance Gondola tickets may also be purchased from Tourist Reception Center (TRC), Srinagar or same may be booked online to avoid standing in long queues at ticket counters in Gulmarg. Back to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight stay at Srinagar.

• Day 4 : Local Sightseeing at Srinagar

  After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to houseboat. Visit the famous Shankryacharya Temple, Mughal Gardens viz; Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashma Shahi etc. and other famous tourist places like Pari Mahal, Botanical Garden, Nehru Park etc. Enjoy Shikara ride in Dal Lake. Have evening walk through Boulevard Road on the banks of Dal Lake. Overnight stay at Srinagar.

• Day 5 : Proceed for Kargil

  Early morning after breakfast, check out from the houseboat and proceed for Kargil (205 Kms) via Sonamarg. On the way you will pass through Zojilla Pass which connects Ladakh with Kashmir valley. Enroute visit Kargil war memorial near Drass. Reach Kargil in the evening. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Kargil.

• Day 6 : Proceed for Leh

  After breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Leh (215 Kms). You will pass through one of the most beautiful highways of the world. On the way, visit Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahab Gurudwara, Alchi and Likir Monestary. While reaching Leh, complete rest for acclimatization is must to avoid high altitude sickness. You will feel the elevation as it’s a big jump from sea-level to 3500 meters, and it will take your body a few days to adjust to this altitude. It’s very important to drink plenty of water, and to not over-exert yourself while wandering around Leh. Even walking up the stairs of the hotel will make you breathless for the first day or two. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 7 : Local Sightseeing at Leh

  After breakfast, visit Shanti Stupa, Hall of Fame, Leh Fort and other important tourist destinations at Leh. In the evening, explore Leh market . Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 8 : Leh Monastaries

  After breakfast, full day excursion to various Monastaries/Gompas in and around Leh. Visit Thiksey Monastry (19 Kms) and from there drive to Shey Monastry. After that, drive further to visit Hemis Monastry (40 Kms from Leh). Hemis Monastry is one of the famous Monastries and is the wealthiest, best known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh. Back to Leh in the evening. En route, visit Stok Palace and Museum. Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 9 : Nubra Valley

  Early morning after breakfast, check out from hotel & proceed for Nubra Valley (200 Kms). En route visit “Khardungla Pass” (18360 ft.) which is the world’s highest motorable road. Check into the Hotel/Camp. Visit the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You may also enjoy ride on double humped camels at this place. Visit Deskit Gompa in the evening. Overnight stay at Nubra.

• Day 10 : Back to Leh

  After breakfast, check out from the Hotel/Camp & visit Samstanling monastery. Back to Leh in the evening. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Leh.

• Day 11 : Pangong Lake

  Early morning after breakfast, proceed for Pangong Lake (210 Kms). En route visit Changla Pass which is third highest road in the world at a height of 17350 ft. Pangong Lake is located at an altitude of 14500 ft. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the banks of pangong while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Back to Leh in the evening. Overnight stay at Leh.
