Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Kathmandu Arrival

    Your Arrival Time - Airport pickup and transfer to your Hotel. Free in the evening.

  • Day 2

    Kathmandu Sightseeing

    10:00 AM - After Breakfast - Full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Saktipeeth and Budhanilkantha.
    04:00PM - A short briefing about Kailash Manasarovar Yatra before dinner. Packing and preparation for the trip

  • Day 3

    Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi or Timure.

    Drive to Dhunche (2000m / 127 km / 6 hrs) or Syabrubesi (1600m / 141 km / 7 hrs) or Timure (1983m /152 km / 8hrs) . Overnight stay Lodge.

  • Day 4

    Drive to Kerung County. (2850m)

    Drive to Rasuwagadhi (1800m / 15 km / 45 min from Syabrubesi) or 10 to 15 minute walk to boarder from timure, then complete immigration & custom formalities in Nepal & Tibet side at Rasuwagadhi, and then continue further drive to Kerung county (2850m) – 1 hrs/ 40 km.

    Drive to Saga (4550m)

    09:00 AM - After Breakfast – Drive to Saga (220 km – 5 to 6 hrs).

  • Day 6

    Drive from Saga to Mansarovar Lake (4550m)

    08:00 AM - Drive towards Manasarovar Lake (450km – 6 - 7hrs) crossing beautiful places and stay at the shore of the Lake. Fill spiritual water. Parikrama of Manasarovar Lake by vehicle (3 hrs - 90 km)

  • Day 7

    Drive to Darchen (4650m)

    Most of the day - Perform Puja (prayer ritual) at Manasarovar Lake
    04:00 PM - Drive to Darchen (35km - 1hrs)

  • Day 8

    First Day of Outer Kora - Trek to Dirapuk (4860m)

    10:00AM - After short drive, we will reach Tarboche and visit Yama Dwar. This is starting point for Kora. We will trek to Dirapuk (4860 m) which is 12 kms trek (5-6 hrs). You will visit North face of Mt. Kailash and touching the feet of Mt. Kailash (Charan Sparsh). Travelers who do not want to trek around (Parikrama) Kailash can go back to Darchen and wait for rest of the group to arrive from Parikrama.

  • Day 9

    Second Day of Outer Kora - On to Zuthulphuk (4670m) with Trek to Dolma La Pass.

    07:00AM - Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and proceed to Zuthulpuk (22 km trek for 8-9 hours trek). This is the most difficult journey throughout the yatra since you have to trek up to the 5700 ft. From descend to Gaurikund and further trek along the river to Zuthul-puk.

  • Day 10

    Drive to Saga (4550m - 470kms - 7-8hrs)

    08:00AM - After short Trek (8kms - 2 - 3hrs) and reach to the point where the coach will be waiting and we will drive to Darchen and merge with other members who were waiting and drive to Saga. (470kms - 7-8hrs)

  • Day 11

    Drive back to Kerung (2850m - 220 km – 5 to 6 hrs).

    Back journey, drive to Kerung County.

  • Day 12

    Drive to Kathmandu (1400m)

    Drive from Kyirung to border (40kms - 1hrs) and completing immigration formalities drive back to Kathmandu – around 7-8 hr / 152 km. At kathmandu hotel - Certificate of completion will be provided to you from Kailash Journeys.

    Transfer to Kathmandu Airport

    You will be free till your flight time. We will drop you at Airport 2 hour before flight time (30 mins drive).

We follow tour program strictly under the rules & regulations of Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB). We will not be accountable for unavoidable circumstances such as change of official rules & laws of TTB, landslide, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest, and cancellation of flight, sickness and accidents. Any extra cost arising due to the above circumstances shall be borne by the clients on the spot and itinerary may be modified at same time.

  • Kathmandu Arrival Dates
  • FM represents the Full Moon (FM) trip and will be in Mansarovar Lake
  • Two Full Moon Arrival dates in each month where in first date Full Moon happens after the Kailash Parikrama and in second date Full Moon happens before the Kailash Parikrama.
  • Important Note: Foreign Passport Holders need to arrive to Kathmandu 03 Working days before the fixed dates (Day 01 in the itinerary) for the Chinese Visa (Saturday and Sunday is not considered as working days). For Indian Passport, we will need their passport 07 working days before the trip in Delhi office. Please make sure that the Indian Passport Holders have Voters Card with them.

  • Shopping would be on your own arrangements.
  • Arrival into and departure from any region of Kathmandu would be on your own arrangements.
  • Camel ride or a camel cart safari on the sand dunes would be on direct payment basis
  • Ponies / any animals like horses and yaks can be hired on direct payment basis.
  • Supply of water in the hills during the peak season is restricted due to shortage and water is supplied area wise at specific times. Please cooperate with the hotel on same.
  • Do carry comfortable walking shoes.
  • The hotel confirmed will be as per mail or an alternate hotel of similar category.
  • All sightseeing is subject to political conditions and weather conditions in the destination.
  • All the prices are for Indian citizens only, unless specified.
  • It is mandatory to carry a valid photo identity card (Passport / Driving Licence / Voter ID card).
  • Third person on triple sharing will be with extra bed or mattress.

  • Scanned color copies of Passport front page and Passport size photograph (NOTE: Passport MUST be valid more than 6 months from your travel date).
  • Once the payments has been deposited you must email us the scanned deposit slip so that we can track your payments & confirm your booking (NOTE: If amount deposited in our Indian Bank Account then 5% GST charge will be applicable)
