Mombasa Wildlife safari Summary Itinerary: 2 Days Taita Hills Saltlick Mombasa Safari

Taita Hills Game Sanctuary 2 Nights Safari starts from Mombasa Island and takes you Taita Hills Game Sanctuary which borders Tsavo West National Park. The Park shelters many animals because there is plenty of water. Large herds of elephants and other plains game migrate to the sanctuary from Tsavo each year. Our accommodations will be at the Taita Salt Lick Lodge which is a Tree Lodge located in the Park.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Mombasa – Taita Hills Saltlick

In the morning you will be picked from your Mombasa Hotel and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Have lunch on arrival at Taita Hills Lodge. After lunch, safari game drive in the saltlick sanctuary until sunset. During our afternoon safari game drive you may see African wildlife ions, cheetah, baboons, giraffes, elephants etc. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge.

Saltlick Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of roundavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-store towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air-bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with wildlife viewing in mind – you can see wildlife in all directions because it offers spectacular open views. Overnight at Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge.

Day 2

Taita Hills Saltlick – Mombasa

Enjoy an early morning African safari game drive looking out for more wildlife before returning to Saltlick lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, continue with the mid-morning safari game drive in Taita Hills Saltlick wildlife sanctuary and later have lunch at Sarova Taita Hills game lodge. After lunch depart back to Mombasa overland arriving in the early evening. End of your 2 Days Taita Hills Saltlick Safari from Mombasa.
