Among the virgin African bushes is the Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous), the largest reserve in Africa. This park is easily accessible by road from Dar es Salaam, but also by air from Zanzibar, Ruaha, Mikumi, Arusha or Serengeti. This safari starts at 07:00 AM from Zanzibar Airport after an early morning pickup from the hotel by our driver.
Fly from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park, Boat Tour + Game drive
We will pick you up at your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to the airport for a flight to Nyerere National Park that leaves at 07:00 AM. After arriving at Nyerere National Park the guide/driver will pick you and go for Boat Tour soon after breakfast at 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM. It's an ideal trip if you would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife. Then after you'll proceed with the game drive accompanied by lunch at noon, the safari guide will point out rare species of animals like the Wild Dogs. Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile Crocodile, hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji river, Cape buffalo, hartebeest and Eland. Later you'll return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Main Destination: Nyerere National Park

Game Drive at Nyerere National Park
After breakfast at 06:30 AM from the camp with packed lunches enjoy a game drive inside the park, expect to see a large number of animals like lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, hyenas and many others. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. During the afternoon at 01:30 PM, you will take your lunch and have some rest before proceeding with game drive. Your dinner and overnight will be at Selous Jimbiza Tented Camp. Day 2: Game Drive and Later Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast at 07:00 AM, enter the park with your packed lunch boxes. Enjoy a full-day game drive inside the game reserve. Great animal sightings include all the great favorites like lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like wild dogs and birds. After lunch, proceed with the game drive and Later at 03:00 PM, drive to Mtemere Airstrip at Nyerere National Park (Selous GR) to catch a flight back to Zanzibar at 04:00 PM.
