Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi to Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

  Time Activity Notes
  7:00 AM Departure from Nairobi Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport. Travel is typically in a custom safari van or a 4x4 Land Cruiser/Jeep with a pop-up roof.
  9:00 AM Great Rift Valley Viewpoint A brief stop for a stunning view and photos of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
  1:00 PM Arrive, Lunch, and Check-in Arrive at your camp/lodge near (or inside) the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You'll be served a hot lunch.
  3:30 PM First Game Drive Head out for your first safari game drive. This is a great time to spot animals as the heat of the day subsides and they become more active.
  6:30 PM Return to Camp Enjoy dinner and relax by the campfire, preparing for the full day ahead.
  Overnight: Maasai Mara Camp/Lodge (Full Board: L, D)

  Time Activity Notes
  6:00 AM Optional Early Morning Drive (Highly Recommended) The best time to catch predators (lions, leopards, cheetahs) before they settle down for the day.
  8:30 AM Breakfast Return to the camp for a full breakfast.
  9:30 AM Full-Day Safari with Picnic Lunch Depart with a packed picnic lunch to explore the deeper regions of the Maasai Mara. This allows you to cover vast distances and, if traveling between July and October, reach the Mara River for a chance to witness the Great Migration river crossings.
  1:00 PM Picnic Lunch in the Bush Enjoy your lunch at a designated, safe picnic spot amidst the wildlife.
  4:00 PM Continue Game Drive Search for the Big Five and other unique Mara animals like the bat-eared fox and various antelope species.
  6:00 PM Return to Camp Dinner and overnight.
  Overnight: Maasai Mara Camp/Lodge (Full Board: B, L, D)

• Day 3 : Morning Activity & Return to Nairobi

  Time Activity Notes
  6:00 AM Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari Highly recommended but expensive add-on. Watch the sunrise over the Mara, followed by a champagne breakfast upon landing in the bush.
  8:30 AM Final Breakfast Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and check out of the camp.
  9:30 AM Maasai Village Visit (Optional) A cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village to learn about their traditions, dances, and lifestyle. (This usually has a separate entrance fee).
  11:00 AM Drive back to Nairobi Start the journey back, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon (around 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM), with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
  End of Safari: (Meals: B, L - Lunch is sometimes packed/en-route)
