In order to make your booking, please make sure that you have the correct names, nationalities and date of birth of all travelers as per their passports. If a hotel is fully booked Trek Afrika Adventures will try to offer you an alternative property of a similar standard and location.
A booking is binding for both the customer and the tour operator once the deposit has been paid.
Cancellation by the customer
The booking and cancellation policies for safaris are determined by various factors. Once we have made reservations for hotels, safari lodges/camps, local domestic airlines, or services on your behalf, there may be associated cancellation fees if we are required to cancel the booking. We strive to minimize these charges, and they are applied based on a percentage of the total price according to the following schedule for both Kenya and Tanzania Safaris:
Cancellation Policy for Safari Invoices:
Cancellation up to 90 days prior to commencement of the safari: 30% cancellation charges.
Cancellation up to 35 days prior to commencement of the safari : 40% cancellation charges
Cancellation up to 15 days prior to commencement of the safari : 60% cancellation charges
Cancellation less than 15 days prior to safari start : 100% cancellation charges
Hotel cancellation policy applies on all hotel/lodge cancellations
Refunds due to you in the event of safari cancellation can only be credited to the original credit / debit card used in making of initial payment, if within 6-months of refund payment.
In the event of a cancellation, please be advised that a 5% administrative fee will be levied to account for transaction charges.
No refunds will be given by Trek Afrika Adventures for no-shows.
The payment of bank fees for credit card payments and/or bank transfers are the responsibility of the customer and are strictly non-refundable.
The trip may be cancelled with no penalty charge should war, a life-threatening epidemic, or any other natural catastrophe or similar event occur within 14 days prior to departure. This will however be on the condition that your government advises against travelling to the specific area, and that the situation in question has arisen after the booking of the tour was made.
Cancellations must be made in writing and delivered either by hand, post, fax or electronic mail.
